Here's a few images of the upcoming super-console PlayStation3. Obviously these may or may not be real, and even if they're real the design could still change before the release, so... just take them as some entertainment!

Here's what the "official" info at the moment is:

- Sony PlayStation 3 is currently slated for release in November 2006
- Games will use Blu-Ray discs as media format
- Features a powerful Cell processor and a dynamic RSX graphics chip
- Completely backward compatible, all the way to the original Sony PlayStation
- Built-in Wi-Fi access for easy connection to gaming services and the Internet

Final Fantasy is getting to its 13th episode... on PS3!

The visuals look pretty amazing, huh... but with the $599 price tag, you kind of expect to see something pretty mind blowing!

It would seem Sony is going to try and learn from Nintendo by releasing color variations of the console. But take this with grain of salt, nothing is for sure until it hits the stores!

The design is pretty stylish but nothing really special... I kind of prefer XBOX360.

The controller... which I'm pretty sure will not be the final version.

One big flaw of the design appears to be the round top... so much for stacking up your electronics! But perhaps there's an issue with heating and Sony wants to make sure the unit is not stacked up with other electornics!
